We take sexual safety and safeguarding extremely seriously. As part of this commitment, we are proud to have signed up to the 10 Principles of the Sexual Safety Charter. This means we actively promote a culture of dignity, respect, and zero tolerance of any form of sexual harassment, misconduct, or inappropriate behaviour.
All members of our team are trained to uphold the highest professional and ethical standards. We have clear safeguarding policies in place, and any concerns raised will always be taken seriously, handled sensitively, and addressed promptly.

Zero Tolerance Policy- aggressive and threatening behaviour
At Lam Dental Care, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful and supportive environment for our patients and our team.
Our staff work hard to deliver high-quality care and should be able to do so without fear of abuse or intimidation. We therefore operate a zero tolerance policy (in addition to our sexual harassment zero tolerance policy) towards aggressive, threatening, abusive or violent behaviour.
This includes behaviour such as:

Physical aggression or damage to property
Any behaviour of this nature towards our staff, patients or visitors will not be tolerated. In such circumstances, the practice reserves the right to refuse treatment, ask individuals to leave the premises, or remove patients from our practice list where appropriate.

Our team will be completing the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism to help us better understand individual needs and improve communication.
We will always aim to make reasonable adjustments where possible, such as offering additional time for appointments, providing clear explanations, and supporting patients with communication needs.
If you require any adjustments to attend your appointment, please inform our team in advance where possible so we can make appropriate arrangements.
Where appropriate, we may record patient needs using the NHS Reasonable Adjustment Flag so that healthcare providers can better understand and support individual requirements.
