Meet The Team
Lam Dental Care is a family orientated practice providing high quality care for all ranges of patients. The team are all very highly trained and in some cases have been working together for over 27 years at this practice.
Dr Michael Lam BDS - Implant Dentist
The eldest son of Dr Alan Lam. Joining the team in 2012 Michael has a wealth of experience from working at previous dental practices across the North East, including a Dental Implant Referral centre and also completing Dental Foundation Training. His main dental passion is implant dentistry with a certificate from the British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry.

He aspires to travel the world and his interests include following the Formula 1, Premier league football and the NFL. He also enjoys skiing and snowboarding in the winter. And is an avid climber every week at the bouldering centre.

Dr Jonathan Lam BDS - Dentist
The second and younger son of Dr Alan Lam. Joining the family practice in 2013, also graduated from Newcastle University and completing Dental Foundation Training.
He is a keen musician, and you may see him around Newcastle at different open-mic nights. He has 2 daughters, and plays basketball in the weekends.

Dr Alan Lam BDS - Retired Dentist and Founder
Dentist and founder of Lam Dental Care since 1987.
After previously working as an associate in 1984 at this same practice, Dr Alan Lam later returned to take over and has helped found the same practice today that has been providing quality care since 1987.

Alan is a very keen Ballroom/Latin dancer, competing since 2011 in many UK competitions with his wife, Eunice. Proundly so, they are the 2015 UK over 35 Modern Ballroom and Classical Sequence Champion. He currently teaches dancing and you can contact him via this button:

Lisa Nicholson - Dental Nurse
A registered Dental Nurse, started as Nurse trainee in 1993 working full time until starting a family in 2004 and changed to part time.
Gillian Short - Dental Nurse
A registered Dental Nurse, started as a YTS in 1987 then full time till 1993, left to have a son called Jamie. Re-joined us in 2004.
